Who stands behind the Olympiad?

The Biology Olympiad is voluntarily organised and conducted by the association ibo|suisse (Statute). Members are mostly students of natural sciences and many of them have once participated themselves. Since 1998 they invest hundreds of hours each year into organisation, coordination and execution of the Olympiad.

Our goal is to let Switzerland participate at the International Biology Olympiads, as well as promoting both interest in and knowledge of biology in the participants.

The association additionally allows students of the Principality of Liechtenstein to participate in a Biology Olympiad as well. Their students can take the same exams and trainings as the swiss participants, but will finally receive their own ranking.
