From July 5 to 12, the International Young Physicists’ Tournament was hosted at ETH Zuric.. We asked one participant who came all the way from India how he experienced the week. Turns out he already had friends in Switzerland and Liechtenstein - thanks to Science Olympiads and similar competitions.

Following the preliminary round, the Swiss Philosophy Olympiad is an essay competition. In the 2025/2026 school year, our finalists had the opportunity for the first time to prepare for this through individual essay coaching. We are now sharing our collection of teaching methods with teachers.

What does it take to work as a scientist? Many people would name characteristics like curiosity, intelligence, or rationality. According to philosopher John Hardwig, trust is also an essential part of scientific work. Ana from the Philosophy Olympiad explains why.
